Thank you Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) for introducing the Volunteer Driver Tax Appreciation Act of 2022 (HF 7432) in the U.S. House.
The bill will Increase the federal mileage reimbursement rate for volunteers from 14 cents per mile to match the business reimbursement rate of 58.5 cents per mile. Volunteers provide a valuable service, contributing their time and knowledge. They should receive the same financial benefit for mileage costs as business drivers.
